Norm Reeves was founded in the 1950s by a motorcycle racer, Norm Reeves. In the 1970s, Dave Conant, a young man from the Midwest moved out to California with a dream, to work for a car dealership. Little did he know that dream would come true, and he would help Norm Reeves Honda Cerritos rise to become the #1 Honda dealer in the world, a title we have won over 26 times! In 1996, Dave was given the opportunity to gain ownership to Norm Reeves Honda Cerritos and The Conant Automotive Retail (CAR) Group was created.
Since 1996, The CAR Group has expanded from two Honda stores to fourteen dealerships representing 7 brands! In 2019, Dave passed the torch to the person who knows the business better than anyone else: his son, Taylor Conant. Taylor grew up at the dealerships and spent time watching his dad lead a successful, thriving company. From washing cars in the summer during high school to running our Volkswagen store as GM, he strove to learn every aspect of the company at every level.We are proud to be a multi-generational family business who values our customers, employees, and communities.
